Creating the spirit of a new brew

The fast growing Indian beer market is dominated by
a handful of large brands and distinguished only by light and strong
lagers. With state governments revising their excise policies to
include brewpubs, Narayan and Paul, two entrepreneurs who were
passionate about microbreweries tasked Scion with creating a craft beer
brand. Scion’s challenge was to create a clear brand positioning and translate this to the name and packaging.

Paul had worked in a Bavarian brewery and our brand name Geist sprung from the philosophy that he brought to this enterprise. The design and creative strategy was to clearly distinguish its roots as the beers were designed in India but crafted and bottled in Europe. Strong typography and colour palette were used to create four distinct varietals - blonde, strong blonde, whistling wheat and dark. |
